Transcript

At Stevenage Petty Sessions, Edward Hardy (15), of Sacombe Green, and Harry Clark (11) and Joseph Swain (11), both of Sacombe, were charged with damaging insulators, the property of the Postmaster General, on 6th July.

PC Hull said that 30 or 40 insulators on the Sacombe Road were broken; they were 20 or 30 feet off the ground.  Clark and Swain admitted breaking three.  Hardy said that he had thrown at them but had not damaged any.  It was stated that the damage was upward of £2.

The case against Hardy was dismissed, but Clark and Swain were placed on probation for 6 months.
