Children's court - three find mice

Hertfordshire Mercury, 27th March, 1931

Transcript

At a Children’s Court, three Ware boys were summoned for trespassing on the railway sidings at Ware on February 8.

An officer of the L.N.E.R. Co. said that the proceedings had been taken owing to the very large amount of trouble at Ware Railway Station on Sundays.

P.C. Hill said that on February 14, he saw the boys in the presence of their parents, and they admitted going to the railway station and throwing about a heap of sacks in order to catch mice that were underneath.

The boys had also damaged a first-aid kit.

The Chairman said he was not going to be harsh with the boys, but would put them on probation for one year.
