Alleged theft of a coat

Transcript

At an occasional court held at Welwyn police station on Saturday, before Mr J.H.L. Deards, John Murray, of no fixed abode, was charged with stealing an overcoat of the value of £2, the property of Frederick William Norris, of Pondcroft Road, Knebworth, on December 3, 1914.

Superintendent Pear, of Hertford, gave sufficient evidence for the granting of a remand, and the accused was therefore remanded to St Albans gaol until Friday.
