A bicycle made for three !

Transcript

A Police Constable stationed at Elstree  had his suspicions aroused by a cyclist riding along Watford Road, and had stopped him.

The machine bore the description of one stolen from Watford, and the man, John McKenna of King’s Cross, was conveyed to the police station.

The defendant afterwards admitted that he, along with two others, had made off with 3 bicycles that had been standing outside the telephone office in Derby Road.

The defendant was sentenced to 3 months’ hard labour, but refused to give any information as to the other two men.
