Police told about stone throwing. New Parish Council member

A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Village Club, Roydon , on Friday.

A welcome was extended to Mr L. Clare , the new member , who was co-opted to serve in the place of Mr A. M. Ward (resigned) .

The Council have put into police hands the matter of stone-throwing , it having been reported that the new telephone kiosk at Hansells Mead and other properties had suffered damage .

The Clerk reported that progress was being made for the purchase of additional land for allotments .

Provision was made for removing fence and gates , and Mr H G. Cordell was appointed allotment warden .
