Transcript

Noah Worley, of no fixed abode, appeared before the Bench at Ware, on Tuesday, on a charge of stealing, on 29th November, a quantity of tools and a white smock, together of the value of 16s 9d, the property of Mr Noel Roy Dalcour Tennant, of White House, Hertford Heath.  Evidence was given by Charles Todd, the under-gardener, as to finding the prisoner in the engine room, and Police Constable Reed proved finding the tools etc upon him when arrested.

The prisoner elected to be dealt with summarily, and was sentenced to 6 weeks’ hard labour.
