DRUNKENNESS

Herbert Cook, Of Crib Street, Ware, pleaded guilty to being drunk on May 13th.  P.C. Hyatt proved the case. Supt Duke stated that the defendant asked for a doctor to see if he was drunk, and when Dr Stewart arrived he certified that defendant was suffering from excessive drinking. A fine of 5 shillings and the costs of 10s. 6d. was imposed

Henry Shepherd, of Black Swan Yard, Priory Street , Ware, did not appear to answer a summons for being drunk and disorderly, and P.C. Bennett, having proved the case, a fine of 3s. 6d. and 6s. 6d. costs was inflicted.
