Drunk and disorderly

Transcript

At Hertford Borough Sessions Harry Raw, of City Street, Hertford, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in that street on August 9.

P.C. Compton proved the case, and said the defendant’s mother came to the police station and complained that he was drunk and causing a disturbance.  The defendant was fined 10 shillings and allowed seven days in which to pay.

Annie Spinks, of Green Street, pleaded guilty to a similar offence on August 2 in Railway Street.  P.C. Knight said the defendant was very drunk, used most disgusting language, and threatened to put a clothes prop through him.  The defendant was fined 15 shillings and allowed a week in which to pay.
