John Newman, of Merton Park, Surrey and George Backhurst, of Wandsworth, navvies, were summoned for being drunk and disorderly.
PC Cappell said that at about 11.30 p.m., when near Spitalbrook, he heard very filthy language.
He went down Holly Walk and saw the men on the footpath, very drunk.
They fell several times, and as it was impossible for them to get home he took them to the police station. They were fined 5 shillings each or 7 days.
