PETTY SESSIONS

John William Calde , of no fixed abode, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Ware on Sunday. P.C. Bennett said that on Sunday evening he found the defendant in Watton Road drunk and creating a disturbance, and he locked him up .

When at the Police Station the defendant demanded a ticket for the Workhouse, but it was refused him owing to his condition.

Defendant was sentenced to seven days’ hard labour.
