Draper, of Woolmer Green, pleaded guilty to keeping a dog without a licence at Woolmer Green on June 2.  PC Darton, of Welwyn, said he called at the defendant’s house on the date named.  In reply to his questions the defendant said he had not taken out a licence for his dog, as he intended to have the animal shot before he joined the army.  The defendant now stated that he had had the dog destroyed, and had not taken out a licence for it.  The Bench imposed a fine of 7s. 6d..
