A new addition to the fleet?

The photograph, which was taken at the old Police Headquarters at Hatfield, is courtesy of the Herts Police Historical Society but the following information is from Brian Homans.

This Wolseley model FourFortyFour registration number PNK 363 was first registered in 1953. It only had a 1250cc engine with a column gear change and a 0-60 acceleration time of 29.9 seconds so it was hardly Formula 1 stuff! The model came out in 1953 so that is perhaps why it was probably subjected to official photographs because it was the first of its kind on the fleet. They were later used as Divisional Cars, mainly for supervision by Inspectors.

Seeing the Sergeant with a clipboard, is it possible this was a Driving School car? Can anyone identify the officers?
