The Ford S-Max was used by Hertfordshire Police in the Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) role between 2008 and 2012 during the transition to the Firearms Team collaboration between Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Police. Unusually for a marked vehicle at the time, this vehicle is silver in colour. Pictured at South Mimms Service Station which was often a source of out of hours refreshments for patrolling officers.
