Alleged assault

Hertfordshire Mercury, 15th September 1906

At Cheshunt Petty Sessions on Wednesday, Alfred Greeves, of 5, William Street, North Finchley, appeared to answer a charge of assaulting Frederick Sterling, on 25 August.

At last bench, the defendant was convicted of assaulting PC Carter, of Rye Common.

Before that assault it was alleged that Greeves had knocked Stirling about. Now, however, Stirling did not appear.
