HERTS POLICE OLD COMRADES

Reunion Dinner In London

A reunion dinner in connection with the Hertfordshire Police Old Comrades’ Association took place at the Abercorn Rooms, Liverpool Street, London, on Wednesday evening of last week and proved a most successful and enjoyable event.

The Chief Constable of Hertfordshire (Col A. L. Law) occupied the chair, and vice-chairmen were Mr J. Harrison (Chief Constable of St Albans), and Supt G Knight (Deputy Chief Constable of Hertfordshire). The company present numbered about 180, including Supts H Wright, E Maskell, W. R. West, W. Stacey, and other past and present officers of the Herts Constabulary and their wives.

“The President of the Old Comrades’ Association and Hertfordshire Police ” was proposed by Supt W. Stacey and responded to by Col Law.

Supt Maskell proposed ‘ The Hertfordshire Police Old Comrades’ Association ‘ and ex-Supt J. W. Moles responded.

” The Ladies ” was proposed by Supt H. Wright and responded to by Inspector C. H. Farrow.

The last toast, that of ” The Chairman and Vice-Chairman ” was proposed by Supt West and responded to by Col Law, Mr Harrison and Supt Knight.

A musical programme was supplied during the evening by members of the Association and proceedings closed with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
