Without a licence - Hatfield petty sessions

Hertfordshire Mercury, 23rd June 1906

Transcript

Edmund J.Gracie, of Harlesden, was sumonded for driving a motor-car without a licence on May 24th. The defendant said he had a licence but it had run out, and it was purely an oversight that he had not renewed it.

P.C. Lawman said the licence produced by the defendant was dated January 24th, 1905, and therefore ought to have been renewed last January. A fine of £2 and £1 8s. 6d. was inflicted.
