This photograph was taken by a professional photographer Edward Mathews of Hatfield and has the handwritten title of 48th Class of Recruits 1932 followed by the surnames of the Officers.
Back row left to right:
1. Constable 252 Cyril John Perkins was born on the 2nd October 1909 and served between 8th September 1932 and the 31st August 1964. He died on the 24th December 1987.
2. Constable 259 Robinson. No further information is known but he is assumed to have served between the 8th September 1932 but left before the 1st August 1935 as his Warrant Number was issued to another Officer from that date.
3. Constable 28 Harold George Prime was born on the 27th May 1911 and served between the 8th September 1932 and the 30th June 1959. He died on the 19th August 2008.
4. Constable 261 John Sydney Lyon was born on the 10th July 1910 and served from the 8th September 1932. He died on the 21st April 1969.
5. Constable 122 George Hickford was born on the 26th May 1910 and served between 8th September 1932 and the 19th May 1967. He died on the 20th December 1972.
Front row left to right:
1. Constable 290 John Patrick Gregory was born on the 17th January 1913 and served from the 8th September 1932. He died on the 30th January 1987.
2. Sergeant 268 Arthur James Saunders Instructor.
3. Constable 288 Whinnet. No further information is known but he is assumed to have served between the 8th September 1932 but left before the 15th May 1941 as his Warrant Number was issued to another Officer from that date.
