1963 crimes in New Towns

The Chairman of Hatfield Rural District Council and the Mayor of Hemel Hempstead respond strongly to a statement made by Mr Crowder in the House of Commons that crime was increasing almost entirely because of the growth of the New Towns which were in his opinion becoming “a hotbed for criminal activities”.
