Shovel went missing sometime over the weekend (between 9am on Friday 8th Dec and 9am on Monday 11th). Theft reported to Superintendent Martin.

Received report from PC 214 [from?] Essex of three men seen at Little Hallingbury Silk Mills at around 11pm the previous evening. Made enquires at Thorley and Spellbrook with PC 214 but could not ascertain who the men were.

Made further search and discovered missing netting hidden in hedges about 300 yards from where it was stolen. Identified two offenders who admitted stealing the netting on the previous day and hiding it in the hedges. [Also see incidents HPF/B/42/008/1, HPF/B/42/008/3, HPF/B/42/010/1 & HPF/B/42/012/1].
