The cycling demons who scorch through Hertfordshire along the Great North Road will for the future have something more to contend with than the law’s strong arm—they will have the law’s strong leg. A corps of cycling policemen has been added to the Hertford County Constabulary. Their duties are simply to patrol the highways around Hatfield, Watford, and St. Albans to “catch the offending fiends.”
