Wanted in this city on Warrant for stealing £16 on 3rd Inst Alick Mekerle a Drapers Manager 25, 5 ft 7, fresh complexion, stiff build, rather broad features, dark hair, clean shaven, dressed when last seen in a blue striped square cut coat, grey trousers, Billy Cock hat [a bowler hat Ed.], usually wears a frock coat and silk hat, absconded on 3rd Inst.
This man has been seen in this neighbourhood and a bundle of papers bearing his name have been found in the River Lea.
