From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Wood to All Stations – Copy of message from Bedford Borough Police. Three burglaries were committed here last night by a man aged 40, 5 ft 6 or 7, stout build, full face, bald headed, dressed dark cloth trousers rather short, the only thing not recovered is a silver chain pendant medal engraved on gold centre B.J. Allison, this man is supposed to be making his way for London.
