Dearest Mrs Dearbergh,

On behalf of the P of W of St Albans, we beg to thank you very much for your kindness of yesterday in entertaining the “Boys” of the city. Being the first welcome that has been extended (to?) us it has been doubly appreciated (by?) us, not only in regards to yourselves but to your many friends, who so kindly assisted you in yesterday’s entertainment.
