It appears that PC Smith arrested a man who was charged with stealing in Hadham Road Bishops Stortford although much of the entry has not survived Ed.

Therfield Post Office was broken into but nothing was stolen. Burglar jumped out of the window and fled.

PC Smith and PC Hill were tasked with making enquiries regarding an attempted break in at the house of a Mr Smith a farmer of Standon by means of a ladder leading to a bedroom window. A suspect was described as beiing 45 to 50 years old – continued on next page.
