In Charge, Ware To: All Divisions Stolen by means of burglary during last night from Broxbourne Post Office, entrance effected by breaking window and removing latch, £3.10.0 in money silver and bronze, about 15 shillings of penny & half penny stamps, the property of the Postmaster General; £3.6.1 in gold, silver & bronze amongst which is 5s= worth of farthing, 9 small pocket knives, various color [colour] handles, value 6d each, 1 dozen compass pencils, 1½ inch long, brass screw at one end, the property of Elizabeth Cousins, Postmistress, supposed by 3 men, Germans, who were seen loitering about the Post Office during the afternoon and evening of 19th inst. 1st Franck Mullar, native of Hannover, age about 20 medium build, 5ft 4 or 5, small face, large nose, dark hair, can speak English fairly well; dress, grey coat & vest, dark trousers, black hard felt hat. 2nd unknown, age about 23, 5ft 6, broad features, black hair, light moustache; dress, dirty blue jacket, dark trousers, black hard felt hat; cannot speak English. 3rd name unknown, age 20, 5ft 3, black jacket, dark trousers, cloth cap; cannot speak English.
