From: Supt Shore To: All Stations Description of a man who gave the name of Peter Harrington and who obtained 14s/-= from the Vicar of Bayford by false pretences. Age about 50, 5ft 9 or 10ins, complexion fresh, hair iron grey, medium build, dark brown whiskers and moustache, about a fortnight’s growth, dark cloth jacket suit of good address. The above may endeavour to obtain money from other clergy in the County, his modus operandi is to have a letter sent by post stating that should Peter Harrington call on you, will you kindly advance him an amount not exceeding 15s/= to enable him to pay his railway fare, the letter being signed by a vicar and when receipted by Harrington and sent to person issuing letter it is found false.Police officer
