From: Supt. Shore Re my message of today Also stolen from 21 Elton Road: 1 gent’s gun metal watch, gold hands, Myers on works; one gold scarf pin glass setting; one gold pin brooch set with emeralds; one gold horse shoe brooch, plain; one 1897 Jubilee half-crown. Also stolen from 19 Elton Road: one lady’s silver watch, gold numerals, gold hands and gold bead edge; chain of small link pattern attached with a seal containing a round dark stone with white stripe across centre; one lady’s gold engagement ring, set diamonds and two rubies. Property of Frederick J Bygrave. Entrance effected by forcing door with a ¾ in jemmy, supposed by a man, 25 to 30, 5ft 6 or 7, medium build slight dark moustache, dark hair and complexion, wearing hard felt hat and serge jacket suit.
