Mr. Sword esq. J.P. [?] reports losing a lady’s black Persian muff near the Green Man, Thorley at about 3.30 pm today. It was seen to be picked up by a man driving a hay cart by Waggon towards Stadham in the employ of Mr. Webb of Nazing. Recovered from Walter Myson [?] of Nazing, Essex by Sergt. 136 and returned to owner.Police officer
