Mr James Askew, landlord Cock P.H., Hockerill, reported to me at 11 pm last night the 5th inst., that he missed 3 dark pullets from his stable about 7.30 am yesterday the 5th inst. The place was locked up and he saw themĀ then about 5,30 pm and about 7,30 pm Charles Giffen came to him and asked him for the key of the stable, as he had been making laddesr there. He let him have the key and he brought it back about 2 hours after and stopped till closing time. Returned 6th March.Police officer
