From D.C.C. To All Stations Stolen by means of pocket picking this day whilst the procession of Lord John Sangers Circus was going through the Town about 1 pm- A black leather purse containing 13/5½ in silver and bronze, the property of Lidia Attwood.
- Also, a black leather purse with three-clasp fastening containing about 10s/= in bronze & silver, property of Emily Brown.
- Also, a brown leather purse containing about 3s/9d in silver & bronze and two bills of accounts with B. K. Williams & Co., Drapers, Hitchin, the property of Ellen Slater.
