Remand in custody at Hoddesdon for uttering [issuing] counterfeit coins, 3 men:- 1st – Frank Ryan, age 27, 5ft 3ins, eyes grey, complexion fair, hair light brown. Place of birth Gosport. Last residence 34 Fuller Street, Bethnal Green Road, London. Trade – painter, marks – tattoo flower left forearm, 3 dots right forearm, 2 scars right side forehead, 1 scar left side of forehead.
- 2nd – Edward Samson, age 22, 5ft 5½ins, eyes dark brown, complexion sallow, hair dark brown & moustache. Place of birth Hoxton, London. Last residence73 Bacon Street, Bethnal Green Road, London. A wood turner. Tattoo marks, rings on 2 centre fingers, 3 round marks back left hand, bracelet left wrist, J.S. and S.J. and dot left forearm, 5 dots & J outside & small crown inside right forearm, abscess scar left side of neck.
- 3rd – Joseph Parry, age 41, 5ft 9ins, eyes brown, complexion pale, hair dark brown and slight moustache. Last residence 103 Cambridge Road, London. Trade Carman contractor & cycle maker. Marks – scar on centre of back.
