Stolen Money and Rum

Stolen from the [illegible] about 5.30 this day, a wooden till containing 13/- all in silver and copper, a pint bottle containing rum label Christy and Co, Hoddesdon property of William Phillips by a man age about 50 medium height, side whiskers turning grey wearing a light dust coat a light cloth cap carrying a wicker basket slung over shoulder covered at top with a piece of sacking is hawking terns (?)
