From: Telephone message book: 24 Oct [1904] - ...Stolen this morning a brown pony and van. The pony has chipped knees a white star on forehead, short tail in fair condition a set of black brass mounted harness, the van is a four wheeler, yellow body, black wheels lined out red while canvas cover has painted on both sides “St Alban’s Co-operative Society” the property of William Fitzjohn, of Albert Street, St Alban’s. Two youths were seen to get into the van during the absence of the [remainder of entry damaged by water]
