From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Foster to All Stations – Wanted at Luton for unlawfully wounding his wife last night 7th, Ernest Wright a dealer of West Street, Hertford, 25 or 26, rather stout build, fair hair, very fresh complexion, clean shaven, dressed in light grey suit, grey cap, supposed to have gone to Hitchin Market this morning driving a grey pony.
Over written with ‘Apprehended’.
[Herts Advertiser 24 October 1903 Wright was convicted of Common Assault on his wife and sentenced to a months imprisonment with hard labour. Ed.]
