From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Police Saffron Walden to Bishops Stortford – Stolen by office breaking at Great Chesterford last night the sum of £7 10 supposed all in gold and about 6d stamps, by someone wearing hobnail boots, a tramp is suspected, age about 50, 5 ft 6, clean shaven, hair turning grey, dress dark dealer’s coat, dark vest, trousers & cap, supposed to be [unreadable.
