From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Chief Constable to All Stations – Copy of message from Superintendent N Division Metropolitan Police. Stolen during the night 4th Inst from Stoke Newington. Brown gelding age 7, 15 hands, white blaze down face, short mane and tail, near hind fetlock white, big belly, shod all round and in good condition. Wanted for stealing same a man age 29, height 5 ft 9 in, slight dark moustache, stout build, dark cap wore a muffler. Please cause usual enquiries to be made.
