[From his Army Service Record Lawrence was apprehended 0n 24 Aug 1903, on 11 Sep 1903 he was tried at a District Court Martial at Bedford and sentenced to 21 days in prison with hard labour. He was released and returned to his Regiment on 01 Oct 03. He was struck off as a deserter on the 02 Jul 04. Ed.]
