From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Deputy Chief Constable to All Stations – Stolen last night by means of burglary from 43 Fitzjohn House, Sunnyside, Hitchin 5/- worth of coppers from a money box which was broken open and a metal watch chain with coin attached, entrance effected by breaking a pane of glass in window and unfastening catch, the property of Henry Bowden, supposed by tramps.
