HERTFORDSHIRE CONSTABULARY 180th ANNIVERSARY TIME-LINE: 26.
1994 – A new poly-carbonate extendable side-handled baton, known as the ‘PR24’ is issued to frontline officers. It replaces the traditional wooden truncheon which had been carried by officers in Hertfordshire for over 150 years.
