Received report from PC 214 [from?] Essex of three men seen at Little Hallingbury Silk Mills at around 11pm the previous evening. Made enquires at Thorley and Spellbrook with PC 214 but could not ascertain who the men were.

Issued warrant to defendant, received £1 2s 0d in payment and handed same to senior officer – case is owned by Essex police.
