William Johnson At Court Again
From: Officers' Journal; Robert Milton PC 160PC Milton again attended a Special Bench and gave evidence against William Johnson. He later served a Summons on a Herbert Warman.
(in the Herts & Cambs Reporter & Royston Crow dated Friday 21 September 1906 – Before F. Calvert, Esq. (in the chair), F. H. Norman, H. Bacon, T. W. Mott and W. Minot, Esqs. Wm. Johnson, of Great Chesterford, Essex, who had been released on bail, was charged with assaulting P.c. Milton at Albury on Sept. 1st. Arising out of this case, Herbert Warman, of Albury, was charged with obstructing P.c. Milton in the execution of his duty on Sept. 1st. Johnson was fined £1 including costs, and Warman 10s. including costs, or in default a fortnight’s and week’s imprisonment respectively. Ed.)
