Cambridge Borough Police, Chief Constable’s Office, 21st August 1902. Telephone No. 117 Stolen from a shop door in this Borough on the 20th inst. two ne waistcoats, men’s size. One a dark plaid, double breasted, value 3/6 & one a light plaid, single breasted, value 3/. Supposed by a man of the following description who may be accompanied by another man: name unknown, age about 35 yrs., height about 5ft 5in, light or brown hair & complexion, otherwise clean shaven, dressed in a dark brown jacket & supposed cord trousers, black & white small check cap, black & white check handkerchief round neck. A tramp. This man was offering two waistcoats at several lodging houses yesterday evening. Please cause every enquiry to be mad at all lodging houses & other likely places in your district for the above man & the above property & any information obtained communicate with Charles Edward Holland, Chief Constable.Police officer
