From: Supt Wood To: All Stations In custody at this station for stealing a bicycle ‘recovered’ at Garston yesterday, a man giving the name of William Taylor and an address at 2 Dalston Cottages, Wallend, East Ham, London. Age 23, 5ft 3, hair dark brown, eyes hazel, complexion fresh. A labourer, dressed in dark slate colour jacket suit, mourning band on arm, double-breasted waistcoat, all the pockets on the clothes have 3 corner flaps which button, black silk muffler with gold flowers, light flanellette [flannelette] shirt, black tie, light lace boots, cap to match suit, respectable appearance ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Supt Wood To: All Stations In custody at this station, property recovered at Garston yesterday, a man giving the name of William Taylor address 2 Dalston Cottages, Wallend, East Ham, London. Age 23, 5ft 3, hair dark brown, eyes hazel, complexion fresh. Had in his possession 7 purses of the following description: all new with prize tickets inside; two small green crodicle [crocodile?], silver mount; 1 small grey crodcle [crocodile?]; 1 brown crodicle [crocodile?]; one brown leather, supposed stolen...Police officer
