From: DCC To: All Stations Stolen from a shop on the Bowley Green, Stevenage between 4 & 5 o’clock this afternoon, a cockerill [cockerel] picked and trussed with head on, value 3s/6d, property of Ernest Westwood, supposed by a woman who had been loitering with two men. She was wearing a white sailor hat and had a black eye.Police officer
