From Insp. In Charge, Watford To All Stations Stolen from outside a shop in Queens Road Watford at 11:50 pm yesterday, the property of George Dickens, a safety bicycle, very tall machine, raised handle bars [sic], A. B. tyres, ordinary wheels, black enameled [sic] frame, rat trap pedals, no mud guards, 35 in frame-free wheel The Warren on front and back of machine, value £15. Stolen from Bushey Railway Station between 4:30 pm yesterday and 12:45 am today, the property of Mr. Hounsfield, a gents swift safety bicycle, “G. H. Gray, The Broadway, Watford” on transfer, black enameled [sic], black rims, worn bright Bounden brake back wheel, Rudge Witworth rim brake front wheel, handle bars – cork handles with black tip, left tip missing, free wheel leather gear case, Christy saddle. Both recovered.Police officer
