From Insp Hassell To All Stations Copy of Message from Head Constable Smith St. Albans Stolen from an unfinished building in this city between 6pm the 8^th inst. and 6am the 9^th inst.:

two bricklayer’s trowels
two pointing trowels
one Club Hammer marked E. D.
one Lath Hammer
two Spirit Levels (one 12 in & one 9 in long)
one pair of pins and lines,

the property of George Stanley. Supposed by a tramping bricklayer, age 40 to 50, 5ft 5 or 6 ins, dark hair slightly grey, dark moustache, red face, peculiarity in eyes. Dress corduroy trousers, dirty at bottom, reddish-brown coat, and vest, & light cap. Thief Arrested.
