From D.C.C. To All Stations Sep 17th 1901 Stolen from The George P.H. stables at Baldock about 11:30pm this day, the property of James Alfred Knight, a small brown pony aged 10 years, about 11 hands high, short mane & tail, hair clipped off top of withers, value £6. Also, a light stained pony trap and trolling harness, brass-mounted, value £7. By a boy name unknown, age 15 to 16 years, height about 4 ft. 10 ins. The boy comes from London and was employed by James Alfred Knight to bring some horses from the Elephant & Castle, Newington Causeway, London. The boy has been employed by Knight on several occasions and [he] can identify him. He will no doubt make his way to London.Towns and villages
