“I had a fine fox brought to me on Nov 12th out of Ferrises (?) Wood at the back of Albury Hall poisoned with Strychnine from a dead rabbit. It has been going on for years but have not seen anything of poisoning for 2 years or so but apparently it has begun again and I cannot make any theory of it. I suppose your …… cannot find out anything it would be …..” [rest illegible]
