From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Wood to All Stations – Description of a man unknown who was killed when alighting from a train in motion at Rickmansworth Station Metro Railway on 21st Inst at 10.15 p.m. age about 35, 5 ft 6, eyes grey, hair brown, finger moustache, nose slightly bent, 2 large vaccination marks left arm, old scar size of a penny left elbow, small scar left knee, small scar above right knee, dress black jacket, two waistcoats one dark grey 1 white cord, brown cord trousers white lining, lace up boots hobbed nailed tipped heels & toes, thin striped shirt flannelette band black stocking, red white & blue striped braces much worn, white neckerchief blue spots, white & brown plaid cap, leather belt brass buckle, has the appearance of a labourer, had in his possession one of Messrs. Nichols & Biscoes Time Table for December 03.
