Hired at Luton at 1.15 p.m. 23rd Inst and not yet returned, a bay mare Cob, 14 hands, white star on forehead, one or two white spots on back under saddle, small scar back of near shoulder, was clipped about 6 weeks ago, leaving stockings on legs, a battle trap body brown & black, black & brown wings, black wheels picked out brown & yellow, cushions of light brown American cloth also on back of seat, plain brass caps on wheels. Black harness, white metal mounts, flat buckles, horses head on top of pad of bearing rein. Description of man age about 28, 5 ft 7, light brown hair, rather long in front inclined to civil. Respectable appearance, clean shaven, a few pimples on face. Dress dark jacket suit plain stripe down cloth. Hard bowler hat. Property of Samuel Dod.
